This week we had a material workshop. We had a large variety of materials at hand, including leggo, duck tape, silly putty, aluminum foil, and much more

we started with each person choosing a material they feel best embodies the solution we created last week, the Robo-Nanny, and we played around trying to fit the material we choose to different situations bought up by our mentors.

After that all the team members combined their materials to create a model of their solution, including a demonstration on how it would be used.

then, we created a physical model of the solution and the ecosystem our solution is located in. In our case, it includes the Robo-Nanny, the car, and also the parent and the child.

during this time, we realized that we want our solution to be more of a game than a Robo-Nanny, something that the child can play alone, and also the parent can join in if the drive is calm enough to enable it.

this week we had to decide on 3 design values that are most important to you and arrange them by order of hierarchy. After some debates, and help from out mentors, we came up with:

1. Encourages positive communication between the parent and child

2. Doesn't distract the driver from driving

3. Can switch between being single player (child only) and multiplayer (child and parent)

We also asked parents what kind of games they play with children in the car? the main answers were: playing "I Spy", "Count how many (some color) cars do you see driving by", singing songs, Eretz Ir (ארץ עיר), and Trivia.
