Conclusions following the mentor's feedback and plan for the next semester

After hearing the mentors' feedback, we realise that we have good idea, but our prototype has too much options\ features. we need to choose 1 feature that without it, we are not solving the real problem which is lack of parent-child quality time because of the intensive western world lifestyle. As a result, we decided to focus on the parent-child interaction which it is reflected, in our sing & record's feature. We decided for now stop work on the child's connection to the environment. And only after design a prototype that enable the parent and child to sing together and also record / edit the song they created.

We will start with thinking about more advanced features that will enable more cool capabilities for our product.


We also decided that we want to change the prototype shape and to make it more tangible. After brainstorming we ask the question does we need to start with the define the product's functionality and then start to think about the shape or the opposite? We do not know what the best thing to do, so we divide the work. The tech staff are focus on build the basic functionality, singing and editing. And the design staff thinks about the shape and materials. Each of us start to look for inspired shapes and share it with the team.

We want to build a prototype that in one hand, will look like a game for children and its affordance has to be clear to our target audience. In the other hand we want an abstract shape and without too many labels.
