This week we finally promote our prototype to a technologic stage. Now the prototype include the record and effects buttons. The inspiration comes from a few designs, which we can see at the dj's systems, like the circle that change the effects by spinning it back and forth. The size of the prototype is big enough for the technologic part, but the smallest size we could do to fit the product to the hands of our users.

We prepare to conduct a few user testing to understand the user, and find out how the user play with the product at this stage. At the previous prototype design, we found that the affordance to the product was clear, although the lack of feedback or any response of the product to the user actions. This time the product will response the actions of the user by itself, without the manipulative actions we should make secretly.
Today we are trying to think how to promote our product, by making it unique and different from other music games for children. In addition, we are trying to find a way to emphasize the microphone, without ruining the interaction between the child and the parent. Placing a microphone at the child place can make it a single game, a situation that we are trying to minimize.
The computer science students did more work on the product as well. the raspberry pi can now connect to the rotating disk part of the prototype and read different values as the disk is spined. Also, the speaker doesn't constantly play whatever the microphone is recording, so the audio sounds better and there's no annoying feedback sound
